I had not seen them for a while between the game and doing this catch-up report, so it was nice to see that they looked good. Of course, it is the 'stars of the show' that make them isn't it?James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8493556920707083758.post-27822389645792538062013-10-03T11:03:40.789+08:002013-10-03T11:03:40.789+08:00Thanks Peter. They are also balanced wargames scenarios as opposed to historical re-fights, so have opportunities for both sides to win. All in all really good and easy to play 'off the shelf'.James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8493556920707083758.post-57487863535770715192013-10-03T08:34:10.202+08:002013-10-03T08:34:10.202+08:00Great looking game and a fine report. Do you have any early French? Hopefully we'll have some by the time we get to playing out the entire Battle of Austerlitz (sometime in the future).
Mark's Ahtyrka hussars (Zvezda figures) are lovely aren't they (as are his Zvezda French cuirassiers)?
We have big things in the pipeline. Setting up for Bautzen this weekend to play over two 'sessions', beginning on 13th. I'd originally thought that we'd take on the entire thing, but have paired it back to the second day, 21st May, in the area from Preititz to Mehltheuer in a "big bash battle"!James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8493556920707083758.post-18600460169713131752013-10-01T15:37:02.288+08:002013-10-01T15:37:02.288+08:00Hi James, great report to read over morning coffee...Hi James, great report to read over morning coffee - thanks. I have looked at the Austerlitz scenarios in this book too - often longingly! Interesting to see it played.
Nice photos especially of the cossacks and some good close ups of Cuirassiers and Russian hussars too.
Looking forward to your next game, any ideas yet?
Best wishes, Jeremywarpaintjjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08997436342156047352noreply@blogger.com
