Both would make one-offs for your paratroopers. Dad was such a good keeper of things that I have some of those too (there are a few WWII Germans, but they are 'newer' figures, as you say)! The Timpos are not in such good shape though as they suffered through play, most recently (~20 years ago) by my son, and several have detachable arms and legs that were not meant to be!
Yeah, I'm looking forward to using the painted versions of these 1/32 figs on a table with rules, dice and ruler rather than the version of years ago on carpet with imagination!
Figures that have application from ages 8 to adult gotta be a good thing?!James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8493556920707083758.post-26984564908691719102019-11-01T23:38:11.967+08:002019-11-01T23:38:11.967+08:00I don't think I ever had any of these as I wen...I don't think I ever had any of these as I went with 1/72 once Airfix released their ACW figures (1963?). I did have quite a few Timpo and Britains Swoppets though. I remember being annoyed that nobody made any Germans at that time so it tended to be British Commandos vs the rest. I can't believe the lack of German figures was political correctness as that had't been invented but maybe the marketing men thought nobody would want to buy them! Great to get to paint and use some figures from your childhood, I wish I'd kept some of mine - actually I do have some cowboys and Indians but that's not quite the same thing!Strykerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258922461691204362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8493556920707083758.post-29549336776602795412019-11-01T20:06:56.071+08:002019-11-01T20:06:56.071+08:00They are 'everlastings' aren't they? They will work perfectly solo, player to player or all players on one side.
